bring on the festivities...

It's that time of the year again. A certain festive anticipation takes hold of me.
Mr. Sun decides to illuminate certain corners with his geometrical rays. Love that fragrance of a season in transition. A season of festivals.

The festive season propels me towards adding that little extra which transforms the home and gets you ready for new events, happy changes and cheerful living!

As promised, sharing few joyful corners of our home...

Hei Archana, such lovely things are a part of your gorgeous home. Loved those cushions and I as much thought so, as some of the borders reminded me of the sarees from amma and ammama. I also looked at your place on apartment therapy first time today. You have a very ethnic and character filled house.

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments:-)

Viji~ The Hanuman idol has been made to order and it is "Kinhal' style art form. It is usually used as a 'Utsava murthy" or during various festivals these idols are taken on a chariot in the temples.

Viji~ The one featured in the previous post is from Cherial in Andhra Pradesh, they do look like Kondapalli, especially the eyes.
