This week began with me experiencing that feeling not once but twice!
All of you must be familiar with the super-talented blogger of the famous Artnlight ~ Vineeta Nair. I have been a longtime follower of her blog, from the time of it's inception to the time it started showcasing Vineeta's new venture of decoupaged line of products, each piece so unique in it's design.
I had been eyeing this box for a while and finally placed an order for it and here it is!
The attention to detail is amazing...
A piece of art from Artnlight that I am going to treasure for a long time to come. Thanks Vineeta.
Remember this post on Aarohi Singh's exhibition? That was way back in November last year. I had bought a gorgeous 'Goddess Saraswati ' Thali from her and decided to pick it up from her after the exhibition.
Days led to weeks, weeks into months. The busy individuals after planning and re-planning finally met in the middle of the day over hot khullads of chai for some stimulating creative conversation:-)
I welcomed the Goddess to our home...
...offered her some frangipanis from our garden.
Thanks Aarohi.
You ladies completely made my day!

Ashwini
Yuhoooo!!!! I am so excited to see my box in your home!! And how beautifully you have styled it. With that gorgeous green bangle stand and your lovely vases. I'm a happy girl today :) :)
Very beautiful.
beautiful! love the pics!
Both pieces are beautiful and fit so nicely in your home. I've been eyeing a few trays that Vineeta has, but just haven't got around to buying.
Arch, how beautifully you've written this post about how you feel when a work of art enters your home. I am glad one of my paintings is with you. I think it is a good place for it to be :)
I think Vineeta's box is striking and gorgeous. She always had an eye for colour and design which is apparent in her blog layout. One day I'll have one of her boxes in my home too.
I love the colours on the plate. I don't know much about Indian Gods but as can be seen from the photographs it complements the settings of your home very well. And what beautiful khullads, woman, your home is like some fascinating treasure chest....I'll stop my gushing here for now ;-P
The leaf pattern on the top picture remind me of the tree of life. Inspired by?
I am so happy I know of this blog, I feel I can breathe here.
I came by today to tell this: we are very soon 1 million all over the world holding hands :)It is wonderful, but I cant help thinking, what if we was 1 billion? ;)join us :)

Ege, Paaka Shaale~ Thank you:-)
Love the box and always love your pics...following you. so true what you said about bringing art home.
Lovely forms of art have found a great place in your home, Archana! I'm a big fan of Vineeta's work and I hope to have a piece of her art in my home sometime soon.
The Saraswati thali looks so beautiful and serene with the frangipanis. You've taken lovely pictures of these.
Hi Archana,
Both the works of art are gorgeous.
Love the details in all the pics! Its truly a "blessed" feeling having these wonderful pieces at home :)
Kudos to all you lovely ladies.
~Anitha.
Great pieces of art, conversation- starters and -sustainers! I love your short write-up, especially when you offered frangipani flowers to the goddess :)
Thanks ladies~
Ambika~ Honestly, not one piece in our home has been kept there with the purpose of starting a conversation but if people ask about it....each one sure has a story behind it:-)
Thanks!
But you still havent told me where you got the bangle stand :( Puhlease :) - Ashwini
Anon~ The Bangle Stand is from Channapatna.
its not just buying art.....its how you showcase n respect it.....lovely display arch! i m sure the artists will be thrilled to see their babies presented in such a lovely way....
regards,
Veda
Archana your blog makes me pine for home endlessly! The colours and light make the UK feel so grey and bleak. Vineeta's jaipur box is an absolute stunner. We sell Vineeta's work through Plum Chutney and at our recent exhibition in London I had to keep resisting the temptation to take it off display and just keep it for myself.
amazing women arch...i appreciate how creative these girls are :)
Lovely post, Archana. Any artist would wish their artwork to be treasured this way...it will live longer than the artist.
Gorgeous art by the wonderful ladies:)
Cheers!
What beautiful things, especially Vineeta's work. I am a huge fan.
Exquisitely beautiful. These gorgeous original pieces of art look every bit the treasure they are situated and welcomed into your living space. These pictures really made my day too! Thanks! *smiles* Norma
Thanks for the mention and i m so pissed with myself at having missed the opportunity to see you and Aarohi both. Well next time Chai on me :P
I wonder if its the art pieces or the photography that I should applaud, but the mix is just better than the two. Awesome pics and awesome art.. One thing I keep seeing in your blog is your lovely black square center table with orange - rust tiles. You have to tell me where you got it from.
archana u ve a very nice collection of artefacts....each one has its own identity...love it...
Vineeta's work is gorgeous... and so is the thali plate.... Lovely snaps.... Love the way you have shot them....
Neha~ The centre table is an antique cradle turned upside down with orange tiles fitted on top:-)
*sigh*.. Vineeta's work.. and Aarohi's work is simply stunning!!
Love the pics.. showcases the art even more.. Your love for art is very evident in your home.. and in the pics that you show us...
That chai is calling out to me.. If ever I'm in Blore.. I'll surely pop in for some chai!!
