Chitra Santhe~ Art for All

Chitra Santhe is a one-day art festival organised by Chitrakala Parishad, where 1700 artists from all over India come together to showcase their work on the side pavements of Kumara Krupa Road in Bangalore.
It was a feast to the eye with artists showcasing various styles and forms of art. Here are some photographs that I clicked while we slowly walked the length of the road drinking in the beauty of a sunny morning and some hot chai;-)Vishwas M
There were loads of amazing work on display this year, but this was one of our favourites by artist Vishwas M.

Hope you enjoyed these colourful works by various talented artists.

Have a great day!

wow! Reminds me of Colaba and the Kala Ghoda festival. Vishwas M 's work is wonderful. Did you suggest that he start a blog? Or a flickr or something?

Wow, what a brilliant idea to see art in the streets rather than hung in ballrooms and art galleries here.

For some reason, just may be coz the weather is much cooler now, I am coming to love souqs and kinds in open air..

Did you pick up anything?

I love going to local art fairs like these....you're sure to find something interesting! I love the second shot....the blue cow painting looks very interesting and love the shadow of the palm in the shot too.

Also, love the shot with your feet...so much fun!

What a lovely array of artwork! I've wanted to visit Bangalore for years, and I do hope when I finally get to go, that I'll be able to bring home at least one amazing piece of art. It's all such a wonderful change from what's available in Arizona, USA.
