Pinakin Patel

This country retreat designed by Pinakin Patel Associates looks so beautiful, serene and relaxing I want to spend a lovely weekend there...actually many weekends there:-)Pinakin Patel graduated in Chemistry but today heads one of India's leading design firms and owns a unique lifestyle store.
"The firm is known for their distinctive interpretation of the clients needs, producing contemporary design from a classic base, juxtaposing yoga and bhoga"

nay-k_ Yes, I want to too:-))

Briana- No offence taken:-) Ideally yes, you are right tropical humid climate and woollen carpets don't go together.

I am assuming the carpet featured here in the room is not woollen:-)

If it is I am sure there is an air conditioner somewhere nearby;-)

Hmmm.... I hope they have a lot of guppy fish in those water channels. So much water, as attractive as it looks, spells one thing - mosquitoes!
Ugh! What an unappreciative philistine I'm turning into!
I wonder if someday Pinakin will take pity on us lesser souls and design some gorgeous but lightweight furniture which will actually fit into cramped Mumbai flats : (

Sunita- Hope Pinakin is listening:-))

I've just looked at your entire blog! So beautiful and full of inspiration. Actually I've been looking at ALL of your blogs. Last night, I couldn't sleep and looked at your flickr pics...then I was sleepy but didn't want to leave them to go to bed. :) You've inspired me to do some sprucing up today. I must say, though, that I am a coffee lover. hehe

Even I like Pinakins designs but it way too expensive and unaffordable so i am happy just looking at them. His store in Mumbai is huge and looks like house owned by some one really really rich..:-)
BTB where are you? waiting to see your next post.
