This post is in response to a query by one of Rang Decor's readers about plants in containers.
I love plants. I love plants that I can bring into my rooms and that enlivens each and every corner.
Rather than just place the plants as it is, I like to place them in little ceramic mugs/bowls or brass vessels or cane baskets. Try it and you'll see how beautiful the space becomes:-)

I’m crazy about gardening too, and do the best I can in the two little balconies we have. I recently made a little greenhouse by inverting a glass fish bowl over a tiny plant…Unfortunately, a pigeon knocked the bowl over and broke it :(

Such lovely plant arrangements... Your photography skills are amazing. You are able to seamlessly blend light and colours in your photography.
This is so lovely and refreshing... although I remember every one of these pictures, it's great to see them all together.

Hi there,
I had some Qs reg ur plants. Do they all receive atleast partial sunlight indoors? Also, if you dont mind sharing the plant names, that would be wonderful. I have been trying to get some indoor plants going, but have not gone beyond pothos.

Sita- Actually most of these little plants/succulents are kept in my balcony where they receive a lot of sunlight, I usually get them in for a couple of days.
Most of them are succulents....hmm will find out the names and let you know:-)

Nice to see you back! The pictures look so tranquil and simple that it makes growing plants seem facile but it must take a lot of effort and care to keep the plants well and flourishing.

the last time you visited was when we just moved in. we just had the sofa then, now we are slowly doing up each room, and pretty soon we hope to have a lot of plants in the balcony and indoors as well.

I'm very fond of plants in the house as well, but I've been warned about the mosquitoes and other insects that they attract - is that an issue? How do you keep them away?

Absolutely lovely! You do have a way with plants. I love the look of greens against the rough earthiness of those mugs.
I get a bit obsessive about plants too and since I keep shuttling between a home with a big garden and another with zero space, I keep carying basketloads of plants each time. Its reached such a stage that my family has taken to calling me the Travelling Gardens of Mumbai! :P
i just am fascinated with the plants placed in small brass containers,very interesting to think out of the box.

Thanks for the prompt reply Archana. I am not surprised that they receive sunlight to be that healthy. Indoor plants with room lighting never can look the same. I am going to try some succulents though - wish me luck!

AnuG- The blue and white checks mugs are regular tea cups from Delhi and the other broad brown ones are from 'Rhinestone Pottery' Pondicherry:-)
